NEW FOODSERVICE SIZES FROM WING-TIME

Buffalo wing sauce manufacturer Wing-Time has converted their foodservice pack size for broader appeal. Wing-Time’s previous foodservice size, 5 gallon pails, was the ideal size for high volume wing restaurants. “Over the years, our customers have been requesting a more user friendly size,” says Wing-Time founder, owner and sauce creator Terry Brown. “So we listened to our customers and are now packing our sauces for the foodservice industry into cases of 4 x 1 gallons. The new sizes are easier for our customers to handle, pour, and store and just overall more convenient.” Brown adds, “We also know that the new pack size will be much more attractive to larger chain customers as well as distributors.”

Wing-Time has already secured distribution with specialty food distributor Distribution Plus Inc. - Northwest (DPI NW) for their new 4 x 1 gallon sizes.  A large retail customer of theirs is launching a wing bar program in their chain featuring Wing-Time Medium and Super Hot flavors.

Since 1994, Wing-Time has been producing an entire line of authentic Buffalo-style chicken wing sauces under the Wing-Time brand. Tagged “the sauce that clings to your wings”, the entire line is sugar free, gluten free, all natural, preservative free and low in sodium. Flavors include: Mild with Parmesan, Medium, Hot, Garlic with Parmesan and Super Hot (habanero peppers) and are available in 13 oz. bottles for retail, 1 gallon jugs for foodservice and gift packs.

DiChickO’s Launches Organic Restaurant Concept

DiChickO’s Gourmet Peri-Peri Sauces and Marinade company specializes in flavor as well as healthy living. The sauce company has been in business approx. 5 years and has just opened up it’s first of many Organic Peri-Peri restaurants (inside of New Life Natural Foods in Augusta, Georgia). DiChickO’s Restaurant uses the authentic South African process of preparing it’s Chicken. The Free Range/Organic Chicken is Marinated in DiChickO’s Marinade, Basted with the Wing Sauce and the dishes are finished off with 1 of the 6 flavors of Peri-Peri Sauces.

The Peri-Peri restaurant concept is very popular around most parts of the world, especially Europe and Africa. If you aren’t familiar with this concept, it is based on the Peri-Peri pepper which is indigenous to the Southern region of Africa. This fiery little pepper has a depth of flavor unique unto itself and a medium heat level. The marinade and sauces are made using this pepper along with all fresh ingredients: garlic, onion, lemon, etc. The sauce is different from all other hot sauces mainly due to the long cooking process applied. These products are slow cooked for hours to ensure the depth for which they have become famous.
For the first time ever, the Peri-Peri concept has been merged with the Natural Market to provide it’s customers with the best of both worlds. The DiChickO’s restaurant uses 100% USDA Organic produce, Free Range/Organic Chicken, All Natural Sauces, etc. One can also find Gluten Free and Vegetarian options on the menu.
The owners of DiChickO’s restaurant are family members of the owners of New Life Natural Foods. Both groups are watching as this concept continues to soar.
