The Ginger People Win sofi Silver Award
MARINA, Calif., June 2008- The Ginger People were selected as a finalist by the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade (NASFT) in its annual awards competition honoring outstanding specialty foods. The winning nod went to The Ginger People’s Baker’s Cut Crystallized Ginger Chips. It was selected as a Silver Finalist in the Outstanding Baked Good, Baking Ingredient or Cereal category. Regarded as the Academy Awards of the specialty food trade, the competition received over 1,500 product submissions. Less than 10 percent, or around 125 products, from around the world were named as finalists.
“We are particularly proud of this award because crystallized ginger is our specialty. We’ve been marketing it for over 20 years,” says Abbie Leeson, general manager of The Ginger People. “Everyone at our factory is delighted about the award. It’s an affirmation of our commitment to quality. This is an ingredient that we’ve sold to professional chefs for many years. Home chefs can use it as well to create any of the increasing number of recipes out there that call for crystallized ginger.”
Baker’s Cut Crystallized Ginger Chips are a spicy-sweet alternative to chocolate chips, nuts or dried fruits in cookies, cakes, muffins, scones and breads. It can also be incorporated into other recipes, such as baked chicken, sautéed carrots and fresh fruit salads.

Dulcet Cuisine’s Balsamic Dressing & Dipping Sauce Chosen as a Finalist in Outstanding Dressing Category for the 2008 Sofi Award Competition! 

Portland, OR-April 24, 2008 - Dulcet Cuisine’s Balsamic Dressing & Dipping Sauce has been chosen as a finalist in the Outstanding Dressing Category for the 2008 Sofi Awards Competition.  As part of the 54th Annual Summer Fancy Food Show in New York this June, the Product Award Competition will determine a Winner in each category during the show.

The Dulcet Balsamic Dressing & Dipping Sauce is one of the four original products introduced when Dulcet launched the product line in the spring of 2004.  Since then, Dulcet has garnered awards for eight of its twelve products including the Grand Champion Award for its Madras Curry Mustard at the 2006 Napa Valley Mustard Festival Worldwide Competition.
