A portion of the sales from JAVA Pink! gourmet gift purchases will be donated each year to breast cancer research and awareness.

What are the three C’s? Caramel. Cure. Cancer. We’re not saying that caramel will cure cancer, but the purchase of JAVA & Co.’s one pound artisan caramel gift will help those organizations who are working non-stop to find a cure for breast cancer.

One would be challenged to find someone who has not been directly or indirectly affected by breast cancer - as a survivor, as a survivor’s supporter or one who has lost someone to this disease. The founders of JAVA & Co. are a part of the many whose lives have been touched by breast cancer. As we enter another season of hope, change and of challenges, we find that at these times especially, it is important to give back and support those causes we hold most dear.

20% of the gross sales from JAVA Pink! gourmet gift purchases will be donated each year to breast cancer research and awareness. Brian and Jamie Knoll, the founders of JAVA & Co. have chosen to have JAVA Pink! products available year round and to not limit guests opportunity to give to the month of October. Each and every day think pink and support breast cancer awareness along with JAVA & Co.

JAVA & Co.’s handmade artisan caramels are a new addition to the cause. The boutique bottled coffee infused syrups and handcrafted gifts remain a popular choice in the JAVA Pink! line. Enjoy a decadent JAVA Pink! specialty gift while helping your fellow men and women.

Industry marketing and consulting firm aims to broaden customer base, increase brand recognition

January 7, 2010 (Clearwater, FL) - Food industry consulting and marketing firm, Gourmet Business Solutions, announced the re-branding of their company as FoodLaunch, here today. In addition to the new name and brand identity, FoodLaunch has a new direction and marketing focus that will allow the company to further its growth rate and market share.

There’s a New Player in the Online Fine Meat Market

Best-Butcher.com Provides Quality and Convenience with Online Meat Sales

Fresno, CA – (August 1, 2009) – Best-Butcher.com, a new face in the ever-growing online premium meat business, launched its new website www.best-butcher.com today to bring gourmands high quality, additive and preservative-free meat coupled with the convenience of online ordering.

Consumers can now purchase premium Miller’s Chef’s Exclusive beef from Porter House to Top Sirloin steaks that was once solely available for sale to fine restaurants. In cooperation with the USDA grading service, Miller Beef’s in-house team of grading professionals hand select beef that meets the exact marbling, texture, maturity and safety standards of a meat labeled as Chef’s Exclusive. “This product is high quality. The Chef’s Exclusive program was designed to guarantee the customer gets what they pay for,” says company founder Corey Patendis. “And, you won’t find this product in your local store. You are getting white tablecloth, high end restaurant quality.”

The company will soon expand their online sales to include other gourmet meats like the tender Berkshire pork chops and apple-stuffed pork loin that can create a comforting, weeknight supper. A mouthwatering line of handmade sausages will pair well with everything from grilled vegetables to fresh pasta, and stuffed and marinated chicken breast will offer an option for poultry lovers and lighter diets.

Additionally, the company will offer a range of gift certificates to provide a unique gift option to give families and friends throughout the year. “Most Americans like to barbeque but no one ever thinks to give meat as a gift. This type of gift is unique,” says Patendis. “This is also a good gift for people like me that can’t cook as well as they’d like to, and great for people who are taking care of some one. If you do not have the time to shop for them, you can go on line and have it delivered to their door.”

Patendis predicts that the online meat industry will soar in the next year as customers tire of the expense and poor quality of supermarket meat. As they turn to the internet to get the quality they desire, they’ll discover that Best-Butcher.com’s simple ordering process, quick delivery service, product guarantee and free shipping policy brings gourmet meat into American kitchens everywhere.

About Best-Butcher.com – Best-butcher.com’s founder Corey Patendis has been involved in the food and meat industry for nearly a decade, and has helped build his family’s food product manufacturing and distributing business, Alena Foods, from the ground up. In launching Best-butcher.com, Patendis is bringing his passion for fine meats and for improving the fine food industry together for online customers. Information on the company is available on www.best-butcher.com.

Reaching Out to Parents of Micro-Preemie Babies

MagicKitchen.com partners with Graham’s Foundation

Los Altos, CA - (June TK, 2009) - MagicKitchen.com has long recognized the challenges new parents face to get nutritious, tasty meals on the table with ease while caring for their newborn baby. Now they’ve partnered with Graham’s Foundation, a charitable foundation for parents of micro-preemie babies, to offer even greater support to a niche population of new parents

The founders of Graham’s Foundation, Nick and Jennifer Hall, know firsthand the roller coaster ride of emotions and challenges that having and raising a preemie baby bring; they experienced the struggles themselves when their twins Graham and Reece were born at just 25 weeks gestation. Reece survived after 4 months in the Neonatal Care Unit but the couple lost Graham after just 45 days. Today, the foundation that carries his namesake seeks to ease the burdens of parents of micro-preemies by providing care packages that offer practical and emotional support during parents stays at the NICU.

As their foundation expanded, the Hall’s searched for a way to provide these parents with access to tasty nutritious meals. “As parents that went through a four month journey with our daughter in the neo-intensive care unit, we are fully aware of the impact to the health and well-being of the parents.  MagicKitchen.com delivers exactly what these parents need, a healthy, nutritious meal.  We are both thrilled and incredibly grateful for their level of commitment,” says Nick Hall, President of Graham’s Foundation.

When MagicKitchen.com learned of this need, they generously offered to support the cause with donations that go into each package Graham’s Foundation sends out. “As a company, we’ve always looked for ways to give back to various communities. Partnering with the Graham’s Foundation gives us an opportunity to support new parents and provide access to healthy, nutritious meals while they are facing a difficult situation in their lives,” says Michelle Tayler, President of MagicKitchen.com.

Package recipients can use a gift certificate to purchase fortifying entrees  like Pesto Lasagna with Red & White Sauce and healthful, sophisticated sides like Beets with Feta Cheese. New parents will especially appreciate the meal bundles options such as a Comfort Food package that includes Chicken Pot Pie and Potato & Cheese Pierogies. And, most importantly, the new parents will no longer worry about finding time for meal time preparation. Thanks to Graham’s Foundation and MagicKitchen.com, they’ll eat well and have time to spend with their new baby.

About Graham’s Foundation - Graham’s Foundation provides care packages designed for the needs of parents of micro-preemie babies.  Founded in 2009 by Nick and Jennifer Hall, they experienced the roller-coaster ride of being parents in the neo-intensive care unit, losing their son Graham after 45 days and their daughter Reece’s four-month stay.  Graham’s Foundation is committed to providing good and services that are both practical and inspirational for parents of micro-preemies babies.  For more information visit www.GrahamsFoundation.org

Tonnino Tuna aids its community in time of need

June 7th, 2009

Tonnino is a socially active responsible brand. It constantly supports its workmates, community and the country, and is always present in times of need. These past months, Tonnino has been of great help to the Costa Rican community, where the production plant is found.

Last December 2008, Costa Rica’s Caribbean province, Limon, was affected by floods, and thousands of inhabitants lost their belongings, homes, and even worse, their families. The floods affected this region for over 9 days, and over 6,500 people where living in 78 shelters. As soon as this incident was decreed a national emergency, Tonnino donated 2,000 boxes of tuna cans (worth $70,000) to the province’s most affected areas. The company tried to alleviate the needs of all those affected, and encouraged other companies to do so as well. Karla Alfaro, one of the company’s brand managers, was asked to offer a few encouraging words to the public. This was not the first time the company contributed to emergencies caused by natural disasters.

This past January 8, 2009, nature struck again the country, this time with a 6.2 earthquake, where mountains fell, streets collapsed, and hundreds of homes where destroyed. Several days after the disaster, bodies where still being found buried under shattered homes and dirt. The tragedy had such a magnitude, that the government and many private and public companies where brought together to contribute in different ways to the community. Tonnino donated a variety of 96,000 tuna cans, which represents 2,000 boxes of product (worth over $62,000). The company made 2 separate donations: the first 500 tuna boxes were given to Bor-Kar, a local company that volunteered to administer all donations since the first day after the earthquake. The other 1,500 boxes were given to the Presidential House organization, entity in charge of distributing all donations around the affected area.

When earthquakes, floods, or any other harmful incidents from nature affect the country, Tonnino shows solidarity by donating tuna products to the homeless and those with few or no income. Tonnino invites all other Costa Rican companies to unite for a good cause.

Aside from the noble cause of aiding the community, Tonnino tuna is a healthy and nutritious option; a good source of protein, minerals and Omega 3 fatty acids that contributes to everyone’s health and well-being.

For more information about products, events, news and convenient recipes to enjoy Tonnino, please visit: www.tonninotuna.com
