Bella Cucina introduces an Alice Waters’ slow food favorite, the original Tuscan Grill.
Bella Cucina Artful Food, the award winning producer of artisan foods, is introducing the original Tuscan Grill at the New York Fancy Food show in June. Creator and owner, Alisa Barry, traveled to Tuscany, Italy to find an artisan metalsmith who would produce each Tuscan Grill by hand, which will now be available by special order to specialty food & gift retailers throughout the United States.
The original Tuscan Grill was modeled from an 18th century Italian grill design. Alice Waters, founder of Chez Panisse Restaurant in Berkeley, California, says, “The Tuscan Grill is a indispensable in my kitchen. I’ve cooked over it for 20 years. It makes grilling a pleasure!”
Bella Cucina Artful Food is delighted to have Alice Waters’ support!
For centuries, Tuscans have been using the grill as their primary cooking source. In the summertime, cooking outside keeps the kitchen cool. In the winter, cooking in the fireplace with seasoned hardwood is a warming way to enjoy the aromatic flavors of the direct heat grilling experience.
